Howard Hanger
Howard Hanger is founder and minister of ritual at JUBILEE! Interfaith Community in Asheville, N.C., graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology and a Masters of Divinity. While at Emory, he studied under Dr. Margaret Mead, whom he claims turned his life around.
He is the Founder of Hanger Hall School, a middle school for girls. He started the school in 1999 for his daughters, one of whom attends Harvard University, the other, a distance runner at Appalachian State University.
As a jazz pianist, he has performed around the globe and has taught jazz in hundreds of elementary schools across the United States. He has produced 14 albums of music and is author of the book “DRINK DEEPLY WITH DELIGHT” (Lobster Press).
